What Coaches Need To Know About Social Media

By Trevor Turnbull

Social media provides coaches with opportunities to learn from respected colleagues, help keep their athlete’s focused by monitoring their athlete’s online activity to ensure they are conducting themselves appropriately, and ultimately build their own personal brand to excel as a coach in their chosen sport.

“What Coaches Need To Know About Social Media is now available to Premier Members in the Members Only section.”

In this presentation, Trevor Turnbull will review how amateur coaches can use social media to:

  1. Establish and manage an online personal brand
  2. Build a supportive, engaged fan base online
  3. Connect with other colleagues, coaches, clubs, and athletes
  4. Manage, communicate, and monitor your athlete’s and their online conversations (positive & negative)
  5. Avoid the risks and pitfalls of social media
  6. Prepare for life and a career after sports

Trevor Turnbull has presented to a wide audience on the value of social media and how it has impacted the way that individuals can market themselves, build an engaged following and monetize their efforts online.
